For this older cottage on the East Bay side of Old Mission Peninsula, CMB reworked the entire layout to make it function, eventually, as a full-time home. While the shell remained intact and the historic stone fireplace was left untouched, everything around it was moved and updated to suit the needs of the family today. CMB designed an open first floor to give way to beautiful views of the bay, crafted an intricate herringbone wood accent wall and updated the lower level for more finished space. The updated cottage has an eclectic, transitional style driven by the clients’ tastes and ideas.
